Our Story

Diamonds Direct began as a wholesale operation based out of Israel’s World Diamond Exchange with a satellite office in Rockville, MD. As wholesalers, we once manufactured and sold diamonds to jewelry stores all across the United States. In that time, we quickly recognized the tremendous markup traditional jewelers were applying to our products. That inspired us to change our course from wholesale to retail.

In 1995, we opened our first showroom in Charlotte, NC and completely changed the landscape of fine jewelry retail. By eliminating the middleman and selling diamonds directly to the end customer, we are able to offer a much larger inventory for far less than traditional jewelry stores.

As word spread, our flagship location began pulling customers from across the southeast, and in 2008 we began our initial expansion into new markets to better serve our customers. Today, Diamonds Direct continues to further our mission by growing into new markets. We are always excited to expand our reach in an effort to best serve our customers across the United States.

Diamonds Direct offers free shipping on all orders placed online in the United States, regardless of the amount. Orders for overseas military personnel will ship for free to their APO/FOP. Please keep in mind that these locations are served by the U.S. Post Office and may take up to three weeks to deliver.
